Dana White Responds to Tom Atencio’s Fight Challenge

As you may have heard, Afflictions VP, Tom Atencio has recently called out the President of the UFC, Dana White to a Mixed Martial Arts fight. Atencio, a MMA fighter himself, has said in so many words that he thinks that White has a big mouth and would like him to back it up. Here is what Dana White has to say about this:

“If I were him, I’d want to fight me, too,” White said. “I’m the guy who is killing all of his hopes and dreams. Let me tell you something: When I was $44 million in the hole, the last thing I was doing was leaving the office and going out to train for a joke of a fight. I was in the office and trying to find a way to make this thing work. Why would I waste one second of my second of my day worrying about this [expletive] guy? He should be worried about the millions and millions of his bosses, or his partners’ money, whoever it is, that’s he’s burning. That’s a complete joke.”

Dana White is disliked by many people, but you have to admit that what he is saying here makes sense.  Why is Tom Atencio wasting time fighting when he could be spending more time making Affliction a better company?  From a fighter’s perspective, maybe Atencio loves fighting that much.  But from a business persons perspective, you have got to have focus, especially when your company is hanging on the edge.

Totally agree. And I have no desire to see Dana fight Atencio. Dana and Tito is another story though =0)
